Brazil Beat Haiti 3-0 in FIFA World Cup 2026 as Matheus Cunha Scores Twice

Brazil were under pressure going into this one. A draw against Morocco in their opener wasn’t the start anyone expected, and the heat was on Ancelotti’s squad to deliver. They did exactly that, seeing off Haiti comfortably with a 3-0 win that never really looked in doubt.

Haiti gifted Brazil the first goal, with defender Hannes Delcroix putting through his own net midway through the first half. That was the moment the game turned. Brazil relaxed, Haiti’s heads dropped, and it was one-sided from there.

Matheus Cunha had a night to remember. He scored twice in the first half, both sharp, well-taken finishes. He was a constant headache for the Haitian backline, popping up in dangerous areas and making smart runs all evening.

Just before halftime, Rayan the young Brazilian who came on after Raphinha picked up an injury, played a well-weighted pass into Vinicius Junior, who buried it without fuss. That made it three before the break, and the match was done.

The second half was quiet. Brazil had no reason to push, so they kept the ball and ran down the clock. Haiti tried a bit harder after the restart but never came close to scoring. Brazil’s defense held firm without much effort.

Raphinha going off hurt is a concern, no question. But Rayan stepped in and looked confident, even setting up a goal, so Ancelotti has options.

Brazil now face Scotland in their final group game, needing a solid result to advance. Haiti are already out, bottom of the group with nothing to show from two matches.
